Event Details

Welcome creatives and big thinkers to the first ever Ignite in South Florida!

There are Ignite events in cities all over the world. Places like Seattle, Los Angeles, New York City, Austin, Berlin, Beijing, Dubai, Amsterdam, London, and Others. On February 10 and 11 we are bringing Ignite to Fort Lauderdale, Florida! If you have no idea what Ignite is, browse this site a bit... then get registered. These events normally sell out and the Ft. Lauderdale venue we selected this year only has several hundred seats available.

Join us as we start off 2011 with ideas and unity that will Ignite Ft. Lauderdale's creative spirit. We look forward to seeing you all there for the very first South Florida Ignite Event!

We also want to welcome you to join the AAF of Greater Ft. Lauderdale's presentation of the ADDY entries at our exclusive Gallery Night on Feb 11th.  Cocktails, entertainment and amazing art will be on display for this annuals ADDY Awards.

What is Ignite?

Ignite is a fast-paced creative, technology and innovation event. A series of speakers are given 20 slides, each shown for 15 seconds, giving each speaker a total of 5 minutes of fame. The first Ignite took place in Seattle in 2006, and since then the event has become an international phenomenon, with gatherings in Helsinki, Finland; Paris, France; New York, New York; and many other locations. Ignite has two parts: the Ignite creative (where people collaborate make things or solve problems) and Ignite talks (where presenters get 20 slides and five minutes to make their point).

Anyone can speak at Ignite Ft. Lauderdale, as long as you have something interesting to say.

Think you have what it takes? Submit your topic. Ignite is focused on sharing your burning ideas – the things that keep you up late at night. The stuff you’d do for free, even if it wasn’t your job. Your obsession.

Ignite is meant to be fun, informative, mind expanding, but not salesy or commercial. This is not the place to pitch your product or personal services. If you are brilliant enough on stage the crowd will want to know who you are and what you do. Bring business cards.
